Did you know?

Community Early Learning Australia recently created a new Learning and Development agenda based on our philosophy that we can bring a sparkle to your work with children.

As an organisation that turns 40 this year, CELA has a long history of leading professional development in NSW and other parts of Australia.  We were proud members of the national Professional Support Coordinators Alliance, which conducted important research and resource development while administering PSC funding for subsidised training.

While the days of government subsidies are sadly gone, we remain one of the largest not-for-profit training providers in Australia. We have a Registered Training Organisation and a network of excellent trainers with recent and relevant sector experience.  Unlike private training organisations, anything you pay CELA goes back to supporting members, providing resources, and advocating for the sector as a whole.

The new calendar

So what’s new? Well after listening to you very carefully at events, training and consultancy sessions throughout 2017, we’ve created new and exciting training opportunities to meet the current needs of the sector.  We set up new approaches, found the very best trainers, and prepared a beautiful new calendar to meet the needs of all educators and support qualifications across the sector.

And you can download it here.

Our new Learning and Development calendar is organised by the way you approach your PD planning: focusing on the child, the educator, the program, or management.

What about you?

Another thing we know is that after nearly six years of upgrading standards under the National Quality Framework, you’re increasingly interested in customised training. You’ve been to a lot of PD sessions and you’re wishing each time that it could have been tweaked or re-focused to answer the special local issues you face. We hear you!

We’ve reduced the overall number of public sessions we offer so that we know each one is either essential for your mandatory PD or carries a sparkle you won’t find anywhere else. This frees up our trainers to meet your demand for on-site training that is tailored to your needs.

We can bring that sparkle to your service anywhere in Australia.

But wait, there’s more!
