Creating a Courageous Culture in Play - Webinar

Risky play is a hot topic in the early education sphere. Children naturally seek challenges and take risks to expand their world view and develop their independence. In this session renowned outdoor educator and playground designer Lukas Ritson will share why we should be encouraging children to be courageous rather than risky.

You will gain an understanding of:

  • The history and diversity of risk in play
  • The differences between risk and hazard through an EYLF and play pedagogy lens
  • Why we want children to be courageous, not risky
  • Supportive language to encourage children in courageous play
  • Active risk and play assessments
