CELA Early Education Specialist, Training Facilitator – Contractor

Are you an experienced early education professional looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with the broader sector? 

Do you have a strong pedagogical foundation and proven experience in applying this knowledge across a range of practice contexts? 

CELA is a member-based peak body for early education and care supporting early education professionals across Australia. We are looking to grow our team of highly skilled training facilitators to deliver high quality, evidence-based training informed by current sector priorities and research. 

We are currently looking for people who have expertise in early education pedagogy and practice, in particular the following areas: 

  • Inclusion 

  • Programming and planning 

  • Educational leadership  

  • Relationships with children 

About the role  

  • Contractor position with flexible, ad-hoc or periodic workflow (based on your expertise and demand) 

  • Sydney-based; work may be face-to-face and/or live webinar 

  • Suits experienced ECEC professionals seeking work that fits around existing commitments 

About you 

  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and contemporary ECEC theory and practice 

  • Proven experience supporting educators across varying skill levels and settings 

  • Skilled facilitator of reflective discussions to uplift pedagogical practice 

  • An excellent communicator and engaging presenter 

  • Reliable, responsive and organised. You can manage multiple commitments and conduct your work with warmth and professionalism 

  • Expertise one or more: Inclusion; Programming & Planning; Educational Leadership; Relationships with children 

Requirements

  • Based in Sydney and willing to travel. 

  • Available for some evenings. 

  • Highly proficient facilitation skills (in-person and/or webinar) 

  • Prior or current experience as an Educational Leader or Nominated Supervisor. 

Required documentation

  • Professional indemnity & public liability insurance 

  • Working With Children Check 

  • Current driver’s license
