CELA Early Education Specialist, Training Facilitator – Contractor

CELA is a member-based peak body for early education and care supporting early education professionals across Australia. We're growing our team of training facilitators to deliver high-quality, evidence-based training informed by current sector priorities and research. 

About the role 

Are you an experienced educational leader or nominated supervisor looking for an opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with the broader sector? 

We'd love to hear from you if you bring deep knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas of ECEC practice: 

• Health and safety, including child safe environments and supervision 

• Rights-based and relational approaches to practice 

• Planning, observation and assessment for/of/as learning 

• Children's behaviour, wellbeing and emotional development 

• National Quality Framework implementation and continuous improvement 

This is a contractor position with flexible, ad-hoc or periodic work, based on your expertise and demand. Work may be delivered face-to-face and/or via live webinar. It suits experienced ECEC professionals seeking work that fits around existing commitments.

• Facilitates reflection and meaningful discussion rather than simply presenting information.

• Is committed to continuous improvement and modelling high quality practice. 

• Builds genuine connections that inspire educators to apply their learning in practice. 

Requirements: 

• Based in Sydney and willing to travel. 

• Available for some evenings. 

• Highly proficient technical and facilitation skills (in-person and/or webinar) 

• Prior or current experience as an Educational Leader or Nominated Supervisor. 

Required documentation:    

• Professional indemnity & public liability insurance 

• National child safety training completion certificate 

• Current driver’s licence 

• It is a condition of employment / engagement with CELA that all staff and contractors hold an up to date Working with Children Check and National Police Check.  National Police Check providers must be accredited by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC).  Adverse information collected via National Police Checks is maintained securely and will be used only where applicable to the role.
