About the Role:

Reporting to our Director, you’ll work Monday to Friday with a rotating shift schedule. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing a dynamic educational program in collaboration with your team.
  • Creating a stimulating and challenging learning environment for our children.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Keeping up with children’s developmental records and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Infusing your personal interests into educational projects—your role in shaping our program is limitless!
  • Mentoring and sharing your passion for early years education with your colleagues.
  • Developing a curriculum that aligns with our philosophy of child-led learning and nature play, utilising our beautiful natural surroundings.

At Ballykin Cromer, we pride ourselves on being an Exceeding-rated, privately owned centre with 59 places, catering to children aged 14 months to 6 years. Our curriculum emphasises the importance of play-based learning, critical thinking, curiosity, problem-solving, and taking calculated risks. We focus on intentional teaching that reflects the children’s interests and knowledge across Language and Literacy, STEAM, Creative Arts, and Health.

Our team works closely to achieve educational goals and is encouraged to develop their teaching skills and attend professional development courses.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Diploma or Certificate 3 in Early Childhood.
  • A current First-Aid Certificate, with Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
  • In-depth knowledge of and ability to implement the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • A genuine passion for and commitment to high-quality early years education.
  • A desire to contribute positively to a collaborative and passionate team.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
  • A current Working with Children Check number.
  • Child Protection qualification.
