ECTARC Clipper Road Education and Care Service

ABOUT THE SERVICE

We are excited to announce the reopening of ECTARC Clipper Road Education and Care Service in 2026 with a truly innovative early childhood model for children from birth to five years. Our new service is designed not only to support children’s learning and wellbeing, but to create an environment where educators feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

Our program is grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0) and shaped by best practice approaches that honour each child, their family, and their community.

The curriculum at ECTARC Clipper Road will be:

  • Trauma‑informed, recognising the impact life experiences have on a child’s development, and ensuring predictable, nurturing, emotionally safe environments.
  • Strengths‑based, celebrating each child’s unique abilities, interests, culture, and ways of being.
  • Inclusive of all abilities, with seamless support for children who require additional assistance.
  • Family‑centred, acknowledging families as partners, experts, and the child’s first teachers.
  • Child‑led and inquiry/play‑based, encouraging curiosity, agency, and deep engagement in learning.
  • Holistic, supporting all domains of development—social, emotional, physical, cognitive, communicative, and spiritual.
  • Integrated, with educators and Allied Health Professionals working side‑by‑side to embed support within everyday routines and play.

What makes ECTARC Clipper Road unique is our embedded professional support model delivered in partnership with Noah’s Inclusion Services. This integrated, multidisciplinary approach ensures children, families, and educators receive high‑quality, wraparound support every day. We will have:

  • Allied Health Professionals onsite working within the environment; not as visitors, but as part of the team
  • A dedicated Child and Family Practitioner to strengthen family partnerships, aligning goals and support strategies for the team around the child and help families navigate services.
  • A collaborative team culture where knowledge is shared and learning is continuous.

This model removes barriers for families, ensures early identification and intervention, and builds educator confidence to support diverse developmental needs.

We believe that when educators feel supported, safe, and valued, children flourish. That’s why staff wellbeing sits at the forefront of all decision‑making. Educators will be supported through:

  • Above the nationally required educator:child ratios
  • Regular time off the floor for:

planning

documentation

reflection

mentoring

  • A strong capacity‑building framework, with access to:

coaching and mentoring from Allied Health

professional learning tailored to educator goals

Bringing music into everyday early learning practice

What if every sound could be a learning opportunity? From birdsong to body percussion, music is all around us and can transform everyday moments into auditory explorations.

We invite educators to rediscover the joy of music, not as a formal lesson, but as a thread woven through every aspect of the learning environment.
