Casual Montessori Assistant
We are a small, community-based preschool located in Georges Hall, proudly offering a traditional Montessori education to children aged 3-5.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Casual Assistant to join our warm and experienced team. Working Fridays and leave cover if available.
Essential Requirements:
- ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Full Australian working rights (unrestricted)
- NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) number
- Foundations of Child Safety Training
- Certificate CHCPRT025 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
- Current ACECQA approved First Aid certificate including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training
- Experience in an approved education and care service
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure children’s health, safety and wellbeing at all times
- Actively involved with all children, assisting them with their daily activities
- In collaboration with others, plan and implement educational activities
- Complete required educational, attendance and regulatory documentation as required
Selection Criteria:
- A passion for Montessori education and a willingness to learn
- Ability to build strong, respectful, and nurturing relationships with children and families
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Excellent verbal communication skills
