Casual Montessori Assistant

We are a small, community-based preschool located in Georges Hall, proudly offering a traditional Montessori education to children aged 3-5.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Casual Assistant to join our warm and experienced team. Working Fridays and leave cover if available.

Essential Requirements:

  • ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Full Australian working rights (unrestricted)
  • NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Foundations of Child Safety Training
  • Certificate CHCPRT025 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk
  • Current ACECQA approved First Aid certificate including CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis training
  • Experience in an approved education and care service

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure children’s health, safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Actively involved with all children, assisting them with their daily activities
  • In collaboration with others, plan and implement educational activities
  • Complete required educational, attendance and regulatory documentation as required

Selection Criteria: 

  • A passion for Montessori education and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to build strong, respectful, and nurturing relationships with children and families
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and collaborative spirit
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
