Pachamama Educator

🌟 Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Childcare Professionals!

Are you a long-time childcare leader with a Diploma in Children's Services, looking to take a step back from leadership but still make a meaningful impact? Do you want a role that gives you a sense of purpose, connection with children, and variety in your day—without the stress of team management? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

At Pachamama Early Education & Activity Centre, nestled in the heart of the Perth Hills, we offer more than just a job—we offer a chance to be part of something special. Our philosophy is steeped in nature, creativity, and diversity, and we are proud to create spaces where children and educators alike feel inspired, connected, and empowered.

We’re now splitting one role into two, creating two permanent part-time opportunities for passionate educators who want to bring their experience and energy into a rewarding, hands-on role within our vibrant and supportive community.

Position 1: Food Lover & Schoolies Superstar

📍Based entirely at our Activity Centre

Are you passionate about food, cooking, and nourishing growing bodies? This role gives you full creative control over our afternoon tea program, preparing delicious meals for our hungry school-aged children. During school holidays, you’ll take charge of the full menu, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea—all with the freedom to plan, order, and create meals to your heart’s content!

But it doesn’t stop there! You’ll also get to engage with our vibrant school-aged children, heading out to our local school (just a stone’s throw away!) to collect them, bring them back, and join in our leisure-based after-school program. With children from eight local schools, this is a chance to be part of a thriving, fun-filled community!

Position 2: Variety & Heartfelt Connections

📍 A beautiful blend of Long Day Care and Activity Centre (buildings are adjacent)

Love long daycare but want a more flexible role? This is your chance to spread your love and experience across the day! You’ll start by covering lunch breaks, sharing your wisdom and warmth with our younger children before heading over to our Activity Centre.

From there, you’ll take the wheel (literally!) on our school bus runs, picking up children from school before settling in for an afternoon of pool, cooking, reading, crafts—whatever your heart desires! This is your opportunity to bring your hobbies and passions to life, reigniting that special spark that school-aged children can bring.

What We’re Looking For:

âś” Diploma-qualified educator with long-term experience in childcare and understanding of national regulations and law

âś” Someone with a big personality, big smiles, and lots of love to give

âś” A passion for food and cooking (Position 1) OR a love for variety and engagement (Position 2)

âś” Availability 5 days per week, approximately 6 hours per day

âś” Shifts start mid-morning to approximately 12:30 PM, giving you time in the mornings to pursue hobbies, relax, or enjoy a slower start to your day

âś” Must have a valid driver’s license (preference given to those with an LR license)

âś” A genuine desire to connect, nurture, and have fun with children
