Position: Early Childhood Educator - Full time or Part time (Negotiable)
Location: Grafton, NSW $29.18 – $33.84 per hour /above award wages Closing date: 16/01/2025
Gummyaney Aboriginal Preschool is a 30 - 38 place Community Preschool catering for 3–5-year-old children in Grafton NSW operating during school terms only - 8 am to 4 pm - Monday to Friday - 40 weeks per year.
The aim of our Preschool is to successfully meet the needs of all Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children in terms of being, belonging and becoming confident learners under the guidance of our dedicated staff.
We are seeking a Diploma and /or Cert 111 Educator who is passionate about embedding Aboriginal Language and Culture as well as providing a high-quality inclusive program to join our team. Successful applicants to start 28 January 2025.

What you'll be doing
- Provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of each child
- Foster positive relationships with children, families and the broader community
- Ensure compliance with all relevant early childhood education regulations and standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development to continually improve your practice
- Collaborate with the teaching team to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the preschool
What we're looking for
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Demonstrated experience working in an early childhood education setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Thorough understanding of early childhood development and the ability to tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each child
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young children
- Have a current WWCC and appropriate first aid certificates.
- Current Police Check
