Across 12 months you can be part of a dynamic group, engaging in a range of topics delivered in a variety of ways including face to face learning, personal mentoring, webinars and a mini conference. This means that you will be able to access high quality NESA accredited training from experienced early education specialists, in regional locations and online to gain the knowledge your team needs.

 

Designed to ensure that learning is transformed into high quality practice, the program caters for all qualification levels, across all service types and includes opportunities for networking and working together as a team on specific areas of interest to your service.

 

This professional learning opportunity is based on current research and is an investment in your educators, giving them the latest tools and insights so that they can provide the best quality early education opportunities for children and families.

The Educator’s Behaviour Toolkit – applying current theory and research to children’s behaviour.

Action Learning Series

NESA Registered PD

Delivery:

Our new action learning series consists of the following:

  • 2 hour webinar session
  • Self-paced learning supported through our online platform
  • Face to face session in a location near you (3 hours, morning)

Can you identify a theory or concept that could assist you when working with children and challenging behaviours? This learning series provides educators with up to date theoretical and research information and the ability to engage specific strategies when working with children and challenging behaviours.

 

Our blended training delivery breaks learning into three sections across three weeks, with educational tools to ensure that every style of learner understands and excels. Once you have participated in the online webinar, accessed self-directed activities and provocations, you will gather for a final session delivered face to face where you will be invited to share stories about how you’ve taken learnings through to everyday practice.

Demystifying Critical Reflection – Assumptions, possibilities and practice

NESA Registered PD

Delivery: Face to face session in a location near you (3 hours, afternoon).To be delivered on the same day as the Face to face session for the Educator Behaviour Full Toolkit.

 

Does the mention of critical reflection cause your brain to become foggy? Does it seem too complex to understand?

If so, join us for a real-world application of critical reflection. Using mixed media, readings and current research findings, this session will provide tools and strategies for educators to engage with critical reflection methods. Educators will have the opportunity to engage in discussion and reflect on how to implement strategies in their own context. This session aims to help educators to understand critical reflection, the impact it can have on their practice and how to confidently implement it.

The Co Creative Leader Webinar Series – Building and developing the capacity of your team through mentoring and coaching strategies

Delivery: This is a 3 part webinar series, each session 2 hours

 

Many Directors, Nominated Supervisors, Educational Leaders and Room Leaders are beginning to find themselves as incidental mentors and coaches. Understanding the role of mentor and coach can greatly assist them when supporting the professional development of educators within their service.

Engagement is Key Masterclass – Online Learning Series

NESA Registered PD

Delivered by Sarah Moore, this Masterclass will give you the skills to build a solid foundation from which you can grow strong employee engagement and enhance your leadership culture.

This Masterclass is based on some of the latest approaches to empower teams using neuroscience. You will gain insights into how our brains work under pressure and what teams really need to create, increase and maintain engagement in the workplace for better health and wellbeing. This is a fun and interactive session that will give you the ‘magic ingredients’ for engagement, including knowledge about the importance of a sense of safety, belonging and mattering, and the recipe for how to integrate them into your work place.

 

Session 1 – Priming for Success Webinar

This session will provide the opportunity to get to know Sarah, explore your key challenges and discuss your expectations for the the remainder of the series.

Session 2 – What Our Brains Tell Us!

Based on some of the latest approaches to empower teams using neuroscience, you will gain insights into how our brains work under pressure.

Session 3 – Engagement Ingredients

Gain knowledge about the importance of feeling a sense of safety, belonging, mattering, and how you can add them into the workplace.

Session 4 – The 4-Step Team Plan

Take away specific strategies that you can use to design and implement a 4-step team plan with key actions to help your team feel engaged and motivated.

Session 5 – Implementation

You will be invited to come together via webinar to share your experiences with Sarah and other members of the group. This valuable session will enable you to discuss what worked, workshop how to overcome barriers to implementation, and learn from others.

 

 

Completing Engagement is Key Masterclass, will contribute 6 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Member webinars

These webinars are 20 -30 minutes in duration and cover a wide range of topics relating to practice across the 7 Quality areas of the NQF. They will be provided to each service as a tool that can be used with the team at staff meetings. These webinars are intended to provoke thinking and help teams to unpack their current practice. Teams can request to have a follow up webinar on one of these topics, to explore the topic more thoroughly and to look at strategies for ongoing improvement.

Customised webinar

Each service will have access to 1 x 2hr customised training session. This provides an opportunity for the whole team to come together and learn more about a topic that is most relevant to their service. The topic could be an extension of something from the mini conference, the member’s webinars or an extension on face to face learning or masterclass series.

Mentoring

3 hours per service.

 

Telephone mentoring will be available to each service to access and can be used by any educator as an opportunity for a professional discussion around the learning that has taken place, to clarify, answer questions and help to put this learning into practice. This is your chance to have a professional discussion on any topic or issue that is impacting you as an educator or team.
