Dealing with Medical Conditions

Clear procedures are required to support the health, wellbeing and inclusion of all children enrolled at the service. Our service practices support the enrolment of children and families with specific health care requirements. Medical conditions include, but are not limited to asthma, diabetes or a diagnosis that a child is at risk of anaphylaxis. In many cases, if not managed appropriately, these can be life threatening.

Located in the Western Sydney suburb of Auburn, the service’s families were recently subjected to some of Australia’s harshest lockdown rules. Director Cindy Adams and her team have been working tirelessly during the lockdown to support the many CALD, refugee and asylum seeking families who attend. Such conduct interferes with everyone’s ability to perform their job and is not in keeping with the service’s philosophy of trust, mutual respect and collaborative partnerships.
