Every educator and leader has a role in safeguarding children. But do you feel confident in spotting early warning signs of abuse, leading a child safe culture, or knowing how to ensure child safety is a focus of your recruitment?
This series of three live webinars is designed for early childhood professionals to build knowledge, confidence, and accountability in creating child safe environments. Grounded in national frameworks and aligned with the 2025 national child safety reforms, the series integrates trauma-informed and culturally safe practices to support early intervention, prevention, and response.
It has been designed to address known gaps in knowledge across educators and teachers in early education and care and address concerns that families and carers have in relation to prevention.
You can book into just one, or enrol in all three to earn a ‘Creating Safer Childhoods’ certificate.
Why this training matters for your families
Families expect educators and leaders to be focused on child safety. They want assurance that your service can protect their children and create an environment where safety is prioritised every day. This series supports you to answer key questions such as:
-
How are you ensuring safety through your recruitment processes?
-
How are you identifying people who should not be working in your service?
-
How are you teaching children to recognise and practise personal safety?
-
How do you demonstrate to families that your service is proactive in safeguarding children?
Note: At the conclusion of each session you will receive guidance on how to communicate to families that your service has participated in this training, what it was about, and how you will be implementing the content to keep children’s safety at the forefront of everything you do.
