Compliance is a team effort.

Strong compliance is built through shared understanding, consistent practice and confident teamwork. This interactive session supports educators and leaders to build a common understanding of compliance through everyday practice  scenarios, practical discussion and clear, accessible explanations.

What you'll learn

Practical compliance strategies

Designed for educators and leaders, this session explores how everyday decisions, from supervision and risk management to incident response and record keeping, contribute to safe, lawful and high-quality practice. It also examines how a collaborative approach to compliance supports the best outcomes for children, families and educators.

Discover how a strong understanding of these principles can empower your team to deliver high-quality education and care while fostering a confident and proactive culture of compliance.

Participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the purpose of compliance and its role in the safe, ethical and lawful operation of early education and care services.

  • Identify the key components of the National Quality Framework—including the National Law, National Regulations and National Quality Standard—and how they work together.

  • Identify serious incidents, notification requirements, and everyday risks that impact children’s health, safety and wellbeing.

  • Gain an understanding of governance and leadership responsibilities, including policies, record keeping, and how compliance is demonstrated in everyday practice.
