Creating Safer Childhoods: Body Safety & Protective Behaviours

APST aligned

I found this session very educational. It has given me new insights into body safety and what consent actually means.

Leanne K

  • Have you ever wondered what consent looks like with very young children?
  • Are you unsure of where to start with body safety education?
  • Have you wondered how to have these conversations with families at your service?

This live webinar is Module 3 in the series of 3 Creating Safer Childhoods sessions. With the implementation of the Child Safe Standards, National Principles, and the updates with the EYLF V2.0, it’s essential that services embed a deep culture of child safety within their organisations.

This webinar will help professionals to understand the concepts of respect, body safety and consent. This will include practical skills and knowledge for implementing and teaching these concepts amongst infants, toddlers and preschoolers.

We will also discuss how these topics and strategies can be introduced to families at the service, encouraging them to learn more and teach these concepts in the home.

Each attendee will be provided with an extensive list of resources to assist them in intentionally teaching protective behaviour.
