What you'll learn

This session explores the meaning of key terms such as effective, adequate and active supervision. Unpacking these concepts will support educators to reflect on their own supervision practices and develop a deeper understanding of the dynamic and responsive nature of supervision in early education settings.

Through a range of practical activities, including identifying high-risk times, developing supervision plans and conducting risk assessments, participants will build a conscious and intentional approach to active supervision. The session supports educators to confidently engage with children while maintaining a safe and well-supervised environment.
