The Directors Toolkit: The Team: Staff Relationships - Webinar

Being a Nominated Supervisor or service Director in an early education and care service is a complex and challenging role. Feeling assured that you have the knowledge and skills to undertake all elements of your role is vital. 

The Director’s Toolkit explores the responsibilities of a Nominated Supervisor or Director - for those who are new to the position as well as those interested in refreshing their knowledge and approach.  It will also enable you to engage with others in the same position. 

Each session explores an aspect of the Director’s Role. Participants can choose the session that meets their current needs, dip into one session or attend all 6 for a comprehensive look at the role and responsibilities. 

Director's Toolkit - The Team: Staff Relationships

“Having a well-connected and thriving team of educators leads to less burnout, reduced staff turnover and a more engaged educational community,” Amanda Abel, psychologist at Northern Centre for Child Development.

This session will look at team relationships, what makes an effective team, communication and conflict resolution. Participants will explore strategies to support the wellbeing of their team and provide opportunities for development of team skills and relationships.

2 hour contribution

Elective PD

Completing The Directors Toolkit - The Team: Staff Relationships will contribute 2 hours of PD addressing Standard 6 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Standard 6: Engage in Professional Learning. 

This course may also contribute 2 hours of Elective PD to your maintenance of teacher accreditation requirements, in line with the current Elective PD Criteria https://www.educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/teacher-accreditation/professional-development/pd-requirements
