The Directors Toolkit: Working With Management: Planning & Policy - Webinar

Being a Nominated Supervisor or service Director in an early education and care service is a complex and challenging role. Feeling assured that you have the knowledge and skills to undertake all elements of your role is vital. 

The Director’s Toolkit explores the responsibilities of a Nominated Supervisor or Director - for those who are new to the position as well as those interested in refreshing their knowledge and approach.  It will also enable you to engage with others in the same position. 

Each session explores an aspect of the Director’s Role. Participants can choose the session that meets their current needs, dip into one session or attend all 6 for a comprehensive look at the role and responsibilities. 

Director's Toolkit - Working with Management; Planning & Policy

An important part of the role is the relationship with the body of management that you are working for. The Director is a key part of the management team.

This session will explore how to plan and develop policy including strategic planning, planning for ongoing quality improvement and succession planning.

2 hour contribution

Elective PD

Completing The Directors Toolkit - Working with Management; Planning & Policy will contribute 2 hours of PD addressing Standard 7 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Professional Practice Standard 7: Engage Professionally with colleagues, parents, carers and the community. 

This course may also contribute2 hours of Elective PD to your maintenance of teacher accreditation requirements, in line with the current Elective PD Criteria https://www.educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/teacher-accreditation/professional-development/pd-requirements
