This session aims to inspire educators to reflect on their practice and find ways to highlight the understandings that children formulate about the world during play. Participants will explore how to use their observations to plan environments that form deeper connections to children's exploration and discovery.

During this session, educators will have the opportunity to identify the lenses through which they view children, and explore strategies to engage in more meaningful and respectful teaching and learning interactions.

We will explore how to use their observations to plan environments that deepen connections to children’s exploration and discovery, while highlighting the understandings children develop about the world through play.

Teachers in Victoria, QLD, WA, SA, NT, and Tasmania who complete this course will be provided with a certificate and are able to use this course towards their maintenance of Registration requirements.

This course aligns to Standard 2 (Know the content and how to teach it) of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. 

The facilitator was great at explaining things. There were lots of reflection questions and prompts that helped engage my thought processes on a deeper level.
