In this session, you will gain practical skills for establishing secure attachments and confidence in supporting babies' risk-taking and agency.

What you'll learn

Would you like to deepen your understanding of how to support babies’ agency and encourage exploration and learning?

In this session, we explore how secure attachment relationships provide the foundation for confidence, curiosity and learning in the early years.

Participants will:

  • Refresh their understanding of child development from birth to three years
  • Explore the importance of secure attachments for infants and toddlers, and how these relationships support confidence, competence and exploration
  • Expand their toolkit of practical strategies to support infant and toddler agency through:
    • sensory play
    • everyday interactions
    • promoting agency and maintaining high expectations.

This workshop is suitable for early childhood educators and teachers working with babies and toddlers.
