What you'll learn

As educators in a sometimes stressful and time poor environment, we can unintentionally fall into a pattern of verbally directing and demanding when interacting with young children. Great conversations make us feel good about ourselves and our place in the world, no matter how old we are. Orders, directions, and demands can make us feel resentful and annoyed. 

Participants will explore fivce strategies to enhance their interactions and conversations with children. There will be an opportunity to reflect on current practice to identify ways to optimise meaningful conversations with children.
