CELA’s Coercive Control workshop is a powerful learning experience built for community frontline early education and care professionals. An initiative of the NSW Government - Recognising and responding to coercive control is proudly funded by the NSW Government, through the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).

What you'll learn

The time you invest in this course will strengthen your capacity to recognise, respond to, and support children impacted by coercive control.

As you move through the modules, you will explore key concepts, reflect on your role, and engage with practical strategies designed to support your work as an early childhood educator, administrator, or leader. This learning experience will deepen your understanding of coercive control as a form of domestic and family violence, and the significant impact it can have on children and families.

Enrolment

Accessing the training platform

You will be enrolled in our dedicated training platform by a CELA representative using the unique email address provided at the time of booking. Once enrolment is complete, each participant will receive a welcome email with instructions to log in and set their password.

Please note that enrolment may take up to 24 hours to process on weekdays. Courses purchased after 12pm on Fridays, or over the weekend, will receive their login invitation on the following Monday.

Participants have 12 months from the date of enrolment to complete the course and can begin as soon as their enrolment is confirmed.

Hours of study

How many hours of study are suggested?

This course will take around 6 hours of study including reflection time, reading the practice guides and going through additional resources.

You have one year from the date of enrolment to complete this course.

Aline Majado

Aline Majado

Aline Majado is CELA’s RTO Manager and an experienced early childhood teacher, trainer, assessor, and content developer. With more than 20 years of experience across early childhood, vocational, and adult education, she specialises in child protection, trauma-informed practice, workforce capability, and the development of practical professional learning resources for the ECEC sector. At CELA, she leads the design and delivery of training and resources that support educators to respond to children and families with confidence, care, and a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and children’s rights.
