Responding to the COVID-19 Context: How to best Support Children’s Transition to School

For the majority of 4- and 5-year-olds across Australia, this transition experience looks like no other. This session is presented by Associate Professor Cathrine Neilsen-Hewett, Academic Director of the Early Years at the University of Wollongong. It examines the unique experience of our COVID-19 pre-schoolers and considers how we can best prepare children for the transition experience with a particular focus on the impact of stress and children’s social and emotional wellbeing.

You And The Third Teacher: Making Spaces Learning Places - Webinar

Our educators support our story…… The educators role in the third environment. Educational practitioners play a primary role in the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the third teacher. The session focuses on the parallels between an educator’s individual philosophy and the physical, sensory and temporal environment they create and maintain for children.
