Business Support Officer - Traineeship program

THE POSITION: Fairfield City Council has a fantastic opportunity to complete a 12-24 month contract as part of a traineeship program with the Business Development and Support Unit, Children and Family Services.

The position provides customer service and administrative support within the Children and Family Services branch to facilitate the delivery of business objectives. Including family intake administration, service finance and records administration.

The role is for a period of 12 - 24 months which will combine work and training opportunities to gain a Certificate III in Business Administration through TAFE NSW.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and have a strong work ethic.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude and drive to succeed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to study and course completion.
  • Must be a permanent resident and over 18 years of age (legislative requirement).
  • Have current drivers licence, or have access to public transport.
  • Not hold a Business qualification completed in the last 7 years

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

·        Temporary position for a period of 12 – 24 months, 76 hours per fortnight

·        This position is paid under the Traineeship Award Rate
