Clear, concise, interesting and interactive. I loved that the facilitator made it interactive using fun games, this got us all involved and thinking.

- Can you identify emerging literacy skills?
- Do you know of strategies and tools educators can provide to support these emerging skills?β―
- Are you aware of the difference between reading to learn and learning to read?
Literacy is an important aspect of communication, which is vital for successful learning across the curriculum. The Early Years Learning Framework (V2.0) describes literacy as the capacity, confidence and disposition to use language in all its forms. This session will help you to understand how to integrate literacy activities into your program, and how to support emerging literacy skills in children.
NOTE: Teachers in Victoria, QLD, WA, SA, NT, and Tasmania who complete this course will be provided with a certificate and are able to use this course towards their maintenance of Registration requirements.
