Participants will explore the concept of the rights of the child with links to the EYLF, Code of Ethics and the National Quality Standards, and how to embed the rights of the child in practice.
You will examine Standard 5.1.2 ‘The dignity and rights of every child are maintained’ and its implications for practice, as well as exploring strategies for embedding the rights of the child in daily practices, programs and relationships.

NESA Accredited PD
Completing Children’s Rights Children’s Voices: working with a rights based approach will contribute 2 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing standard descriptors 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
- Teachers attending this session must provide their NESA Teacher Accreditation number to CELA.
- Teachers must attend for the duration of the session in order to receive the NESA Hours. CELA will be keeping records of attendance and participation during the session.
