Bringing the EYLF V2.0 to Life: Cultural Responsiveness in Practice

This 2-hour session will focus on the updated Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 practice of cultural responsiveness and will guide early childhood educators and teachers in understanding how the changes will influence their daily practices. Educators will be invited to reflect and consider how they will foster a culturally responsive environment.  

Participants will have the opportunity to: 

  • Consider why the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 has been updated to include cultural responsiveness. 

  • Broaden their understanding of the multiple ways of viewing culture in early childhood services.  

  • Explore culture and the impact of culture on identity. 

  • Discover ways to build a culturally responsive early years environment.

Completing Bringing the ELYF V2.0 to Life Cultural Responsiveness in Practice will contribute 2 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing standard descriptor 2.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
