The EYLF V2.0 has been updated with three new principles, including Collaborative Leadership and Teamwork.
The importance of effective leadership in early childhood education and care is well documented including the relationship between effective leadership and outcomes for children. This goes beyond formal leadership positions, to include leadership principles and practices enacted by children and educators. (ACECQA, 2023)
Leaders are required to have exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to develop relational trust to fully engage educators in their ability to form professional learning communities that work together to achieved shared goals.
This 2-hour session will focus on the collaborative leadership and teamwork practices service leaders can implement to improve the quality of their service.
During this informative session you will discover:
- The various practices that create collaborative leadership.
- The interpersonal skills required to ensure these practices are successful.
- How to implement collaborative practices in your service.
- How to empower children and educators through collaborative leadership principles and practices.

NESA ACCREDITED PD
Completing Bringing the EYLF V2.0 to Life Collaborative Leadership and Teamwork in practice will contribute 2 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Leadership to support learning outcomes of students/children addressing Standard Descriptor 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher in NSW.
