This session was previously known as 'Bringing the EYLF V2.0 to Life: Collaborative leadership and teamwork in practice', however the content remains the same.
The importance of effective leadership in early childhood education and care is well documented including the relationship between effective leadership and outcomes for children. This goes beyond formal leadership positions, to include leadership principles and practices enacted by children and educators. (ACECQA, 2023)
Leaders are required to have exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to develop relational trust to fully engage educators in their ability to form professional learning communities that work together to achieved shared goals.
This 2-hour session will focus on the collaborative leadership and teamwork practices service leaders can implement to improve the quality of their service.
During this informative session participants will have the opportunity to:
- Discover the various practices that create collaborative leadership.
- Identify the interpersonal skills required to ensure these practices are successful.
- Think about how to implement collaborative practices in your service.
- Consider strategies to empower children and educators through collaborative leadership principles and practices.
