Research project: Could intergenerational programs support bilingual families?

Bilingualism offers countless cognitive, academic, and cultural benefits for children (Fox et al., 2019). However, the availability of heritage language support programs in Australia remains limited, especially for preschool-aged children.

Clinical Trial Coordinator Ava Karusoo Musumeci (The EARLI Project at Neuroscience Research Australia) shares the potential benefits of bilingual intergenerational programs and details a new research project aimed at gathering parent perspectives on the idea of having bilingual intergenerational programs in the community.
